Chilly & Unsettled At Times Today

Windy & Cold Sunday; Warmer Next Week

Halloween night wasn't too bad for most with just a few showers and sprinkles around I-81 points west, and mainly dry east of 81.  Temperatures were mainly in the 40s.  Today will feature chilly temperatures, a mostly cloudy sky, a little light rain and drizzle at times, an increasing northerly wind.  Highs today will only be up near 45.  Daylight Saving Time comes to an end late tonight, so remember to set your clocks back one hour before going to bed tonight.  Tonight's weather will be windy and cold with any rain and mixed showers around changing to snow showers and flurries.  A coating to an inch is possible, especially over the high terrain by daybreak Sunday.

High pressure with much drier air will build in on Sunday, which should cause any snow shower/flurry activity to taper off by the midday/early afternoon, and could very well lead to at least intervals of sun developing later in the day.  Winds will remain gusty, and we will be feeling the coldest air of the season with highs only making it to around 40, and wind chills will be in the 20s to around 30 throughout the day!  Bundle up!

Temperatures will warm back up during the first half of next week with temperatures topping out in the low 50s Monday and well into the 60s on Tuesday!  After a quiet start to the week with intervals of sun and dry weather expected for both Monday and Tuesday, the threat for showers will return Tuesday night into Wednesday.  Colder air will probably round out next week.  Stay tuned.

Have a great weekend!

Chilly & Unsettled At Times Today

Windy & Cold Sunday; Warmer Next Week

Halloween night wasn't too bad for most with just a few showers and sprinkles around I-81 points west, and mainly dry east of 81.  Temperatures were in the 30s and 40s during Trick-or-Treat time.  Today will feature chilly temperatures, a mostly cloudy sky, a little light rain and drizzle at times (mix/snow over high terrain), and an increasing northerly wind.  Highs today will only range from 40 to 45.

High pressure with much drier air will build in on Sunday, which should cause any snow shower/flurry activity early in the day to taper off by the late morning/midday, and could very well lead to at least intervals of sun developing for the afternoon.  Winds will remain gusty, and we will be feeling the coldest air of the season with highs only making it into the upper 30s to around 40, and wind chills will be in the 20s to around 30 throughout the day!  Bundle up!

Temperatures will moderate nicely during the first half of next week with temperatures topping out in the mid 40s to around 50 Monday and into the upper 50s and maybe even 60s on Tuesday!  After a quiet start to the week with intervals of sun and dry weather expected for both Monday and Tuesday, the threat for showers will return Tuesday night into Wednesday.  Colder air will probably round out next week.  Stay tuned.

Have a great weekend!
