After slipping in the polls, Syracuse recovers with win over Maryland

  • Text size: + -

Mixed news for Orange fans Monday: The good news, Syracuse was able to get a tough road win at Maryland. The bad news, Syracuse dropped to fourth in the AP poll.

SU was ahead by 12 points late in the second half, when Maryland made a furious comeback, cutting the lead to just one before falling short.

The Orange beat the Terps 57 to 55, improving to 26-2 on the season.

Syracuse will have another chance for a statement win, and possibly regain their footing in the polls, on Saturday when they visit the Virginia Cavaliers in a battle for first place in the ACC.
