SYRACUSE, N.Y. - As the only Texas native on the Syracuse football roster, quarterback Drew Allen speaks with authority when he says the Orange will enjoy their trip to the Texas Bowl.

Allen is from San Antonio, about a three-hour drive from the site of the game in Houston, but his father's side of the family is all based in Houston. The fifth-year senior says he expects a lot of non-Syracuse and non-Minnesota fans to come to the game simply because Texans love football that much.

The Texas Bowl is next Friday starting at 6 p.m. Time Warner Cable News' coverage from Houston begins on Monday and includes a preview special Thursday at 7 p.m., a pregame show Friday at 5:30, and a postgame show immediately following the game.
