SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Syracuse and St. John's men's basketball programs announced on Wednesday they will continue their century-old rivalry beyond their upcoming Big East departures, but the Orange is only worrying about the present as it tries to cope with its suddenly smaller roster.

With freshman center Dajuan Coleman expected to miss four weeks after successful surgery on his left knee on Tuesday and senior forward James Southerland still out indefinitely due to an academic eligibiilty matter, SU is down to just seven scholarship players not including walk-ons who have since been awarded scholarships. Needless to say, SU will need to stay out of foul trouble when it plays at Pittsburgh this Saturday.

As for the Orange-Red Storm rivalry, the teams have agreed on a home-and-home series over the next two seasons with the first game taking place at Madison Square Garden and the second at the Carrier Dome.
