SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Four Jamesville-DeWitt athletes signed their National Letters of Intent on Wednesday, none bigger to local fans than DaJuan Coleman who officially committed to play basketball at Syracuse.

Coleman, one of the top recruits in the country, verbally committed to the Orange on Oct. 25. His initials and size (6-foot-10, 280 pounds) have provided a natural connection to SU legend Derrick Coleman and Orange fans can only hope the new Coleman is as good as the old one was.

Also signing were Tyler Cavanaugh to Wake Forest basketball, making him a future opponent of his now-teammate Coleman, Deke Burns to Harvard lacrosse and Taylor Bierwagen to Grand Valley State lacrosse. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
