WATERTOWN, N.Y. -- For Fort Drum employees that have been tangled up in the government shutdown, there's a little relief.

Cici's Pizza in Watertown gave away free meals to all those who were impacted by the shutdown.

The restaurant says it just wanted to do something for the workers, so they posted their idea on Facebook, resulting in a packed shop Monday evening.

"They don't have an income coming in right now. So they're in need. People still need to eat during that time. So why not give them a little bit of a easier time during this time with the free buffet and free ice cream next door," said Ben Gilchrist, Cici's Pizza Assistant Manager.

The free meals, which include pizza, salad, bread and soda, will be given away through Thursday. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
