NEW YORK STATE FAIR -- The fair provided a showcase for some local talent on the last day.
The Syracuse Jams show at Chevy Court featured three local bands. They performed a mix of jazz, soul and R&B music.
Organizers said this kind of exposure can be invaluable for the bands, and it's good for the fair, as well.
"We had a conversation earlier on with the director and a few other people, and we talked about how this type of exposure can help us all as businesses to grow, and fortunately the state has a vision like that as well," said Reggie Seigler, the Syracuse Jams coordinator.
