SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Book lovers had the chance to meet a local author Friday, and pick up copies of her new book.
Judith LaManna Rivette was signing her newest book, "Saint Carmella's Grotto."
It's a fictional tale inspired by her previous work compiling stories about the history of Solvay.
"Based on those stories I had collected, based on an interest in things a little bit mystical, and people are always curious about the Evil Eye, so it all came together," said the author.
If you'd like to check the book out for yourself, you can buy it through Lamanna Rivette's website, at The Book Cellar in Solvay, and at the Onondaga Historical Association gift shop.
