SYRACUSE, N.Y.-- Tuesday is Beef Day at the New York State Fair. The day is meant to highlight the beef industry in the state.
People can find numerous cattle shows in and around the barn including many activities highlighting the industry. Visitors can learn more about a variety of cattle, different cuts of beef, and where the product comes from.
Farmers told Time Warner Cable News they want people to learn more about the industry and ask questions.
"There's always people here and we're here all day long and so, that's what we're here to do is answer questions and talk to the fairgoers. So, pretty much, ask anybody," said farmer William Lipsey.
In addition to the cattle barn, visitors can also take advantage of other Beef Day related events.
The annual Media Grill Off and Create the Perfect Burger competition take place Tuesday in Chevy Court Pavilion.
