SYRACUSE, N.Y.-- Tickets are on sale for the big shows planned at the Great New York State Fair this year.
Fair officials said Jason Aldean and Carrie Underwood shows are currently the leading ticket sellers.
Grandstand tickets are available for Brad Paisley, the Uproar Music Festival and Pitbull this Thursday through Saturday. Kid Rock performs on Monday, August 25.
Next week, tickets are available for Train on August 26 and Carrie Underwood on August 27, although those are going quickly.
Journey will perform on August 28 and limited single seat tickets are available for Jason Aldean on August 30.
The annual Monster Truck Show and Demolition Derby are scheduled for August 31 and September 1.
Many people go to the fair for the entertainment, and fair officials said it's important to bring in the best acts.
"Whether it's Jason Aldean, Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood, those are on the more expensive end of acts, and you know we want to bring them in, we want fair goers to have the diversity of it, and I think that more than anything probably sets us apart from a lot of venues," said New York State Fair acting director Troy Waffner.
Tickets for the music shows range anywhere from $35 to $77.
Admission for the truck show and derby ranges from $13 to $25.
There are also shows scheduled at Chevy Court this year as well. Bands such as Smash Mouth, Jason Derulo and Night Ranger all come with the price of admission.
