WATERTOWN, N.Y. -- As students get back to school this week it's a good time to make sure kids have gotten their yearly check-ups and immunizations.
The Jefferson County Public Health Service is helping parents out this year by hosting a kid's fun day Wednesday afternoon at its' offices on Meade Street.
Not only will staff be on hand to help with the medical stuff, but there'll be games, prizes and activities for kids.
Public Health is recommending a variety of vaccines including Tdap, HPV, and a flu shot.
New York State requires some vaccines before students are allowed to attend school.
