SYRACUSE, N.Y.-- The Fire Prevention Education Center at the New York State Fair recently underwent several changes to help educate fairgoers about fire prevention.
There is a ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday for the new House of Hazards exhibit.
Thanks to a state grant through the Department of Homeland Security, there are now all new interactive displays that make it a better learning environment.
The day also features Veterans Day ceremonies at the Veterans Memorial Park in front of the Horticulture Building. New military recruits will take their oaths of enlistment at the event. Fallen firefighters will also be honored.
Entertainment Thursday night includes Journey and Cheap Trick at the Grandstand, and the Eli Young Band at the Chevy Court stage.
