NEW YORK STATE -- More funding for storm recovery is on its way to New York to the tune of $600 million.
The money will be used in the continuing recovery efforts following Sandy, Irene, and Lee.
It will also be used in creating infrastructure designed to withstand future storms.
The funding is part of the final round of distribution of the Community Development Block Grant Disaster Relief from the federal government.
This latest $600 million brings the total for New York's Rising program to $4.4 billion.
