SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Tiny crustaceans have invaded Syracuse's Clinton Square for the 7th annual Crawfish Clambake.
The event is the major fundraiser for Operation Northern Comfort which builds ramps for disabled people and also helps rebuild houses in the Central New York area. The impact is what organizers said keeps them coming back year after year.
"Just the great feeling it is to know you've help someone get back into their house, to go back home, is what keeps everyone doing it," said Norm Andrzejewski, Operation Northern Company CEO.
Part of the proceeds from the Crawfish Festival will also go towards supporting Clear Path for Veteran’s “Home for the Brave.”
