SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Remote control airplanes filled the Carrier Dome Sunday as part of a class offered at Syracuse University.

Flight Day for senior aerospace engineering students is considered a rite of passage for students as they're required to create a plane that will fly as many figure-eights as possible from one end of the Dome to the other.

The catch is they have to carry a certain payload, either cameras or a coin.

There were some crashes, but there was certainly a lot for the students to be proud of.
