LIVERPOOL, N.Y. -- A high profile boxing match was held in Liverpool to benefit a good cause.
Last night, Syracuse Hall of Fame Boxing Coach Ray Rinaldi and State Senator John DeFrancisco battled it out in the ring.
The charity boxing match dubbed, "Fight for a Future," was organized to raise awareness and money for athletic programs that benefit at-risk kids in the city.
It wasn't your typical boxing match though.
"He clocked me a couple of times. I was going I was trying to move in on him and then I stepped on his foot and he fell down. I said oh my God, I felt so bad," DeFrancisco said.
DeFrancisco hopes the boxing match could become an annual event. He said he'd like to get other people involved as well.
