CORTLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- A fake 100-dollar bill was used at a Cortland County store and now state police are looking for the suspect.

A man was in Gregg's Market on State Route 11 in Marathon last Friday and bought a gallon of cider using a hundred dollar bill.

The bill passed the marker test that cashiers are instructed to do, but an investigation determined that it actually was a counterfeit.

State police are not only warning the public about the crime, but are asking for help indentifying the suspect.
