SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The Hungtington Family Center in Syracuse provides services for about 6,000 people, and was recently rewarded for its efforts to help the community.

The Syracuse Auto Dealer's Association Charity Preview is an event many people may have heard of, but you may not realize its impact on local non-profits.

Recently, the association made a $15,000 donation to the center. It offers counseling services, youth and senior programming, and other various services on the city's westside.

According to Huntington Center officials, those funds are making it possible to support important programs.

"Whether it's field trips for our pre-K, whether it's special outings for our teen program, while it's a camping trip for our senior program, those things are funded through the generosity of people who donate to us and through programs like SADA, the Syracuse Auto Dealers Association," said Amy Davis, the director of Huntington Youth and Adult Services.

In total, SADA recently contributed $241,000 to area non-profits as a result of this year's charity show.
