SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Hundreds of people are expected to attend the annual Signature Chefs Auction.
According to organizers, ten local chefs from well known restaurants will be cooking up some of their signature selections. For the first time, the event opens early for a VIP party while the chefs participate in a cooking competition.
The event will include sampling stations, silent and live auctions, music and a cash bar. All the money raised will benefit the March of Dimes.
"The March of Dimes funds research. So, grants are given to places like Syracuse University and Cornell, to go off and research the birth defects, the birth disorders, why premature birth happens," said Renee Carolin, the volunteer co-chair of the Signature Chefs Auction.
Tickets are $75 per person, or $150 per person for the VIP reception. The VIP party begins at 5 p.m., and the main event begins at 6 p.m.
Time Warner Cable News is a media sponsor, and our own Dan Eaton will be an emcee at the event. For more information about the auction, visit www.marchofdimes.com.
