SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- A few hundred runners will make their way to Syracuse on Sunday to compete in the second annual Syracuse Half Marathon.
If a half marathon is a distance you're looking to accomplish, there is certainly some training involved. Fleet Feet Sports is kicking off its training programs this week to help you reach your personal goals, and prepare for an upcoming race.
Runners of all experience levels are encouraged to sign up for their programs, including No Boundaries, or Personal Best. According to experts, tips on nutrition, hydration, running gear, and learning to run in all elements will help you feel great.
"It really gives you something to strive for. Something to focus your life on. In the meantime, you meet people, you meet good friends, you meet your coaches, and it really can just alter the existence of your life which will kind of permeate everything else you do," said Mandy Howard, a sports coach for Fleet Feet.
