WATERTOWN, N.Y. -- The American Red Cross sponsored a health and wellness fair on Monday at the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Jefferson County.
Members of the public had the opportunity to speak with several different agencies at the event. Attendees had their hearing checked, learned about colon cancer, and spoke with a pharmacist.
A blood drive was also held. According to organizers, the timing was perfect.
"The weather has been awful and just as we're getting those signs of spring, now is the perfect time to rejuvenate those concepts about let's get out there and be healthy again," said Catherine Moore, a program leader for Cornell Cooperative Extension.
The organizers plan to host the event next year as well. Interested agencies can contact (315)788-8450 to participate in the next event.
