SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- People are heading to the New York State Fairgrounds this weekend to escape the snow and dream of summer.
The 2014 CNY Boat Show is huge this year, and is spread out across three buildings.
That includes the Center of Progress, Horticulture, and the Exhibit Center Building.
You can check out more than 500 different boat models as well as a number of exhibits and more.
One educates boaters about invasive species and how they can avoid spreading them to new bodies of water.
"A lot of the species like plants and other pathogens that get on boats they can actually survive as long as they are wet for a couple of days at a time. So the whole point in drying the boat and not putting it into water before it dries out is just to keep things from surviving and then putting them alive in new bodies of water," said Brittany Rogers, New York Seagrant Launch Seward.
Boaters are also encouraged to dump bait buckets on land instead of water, and to make sure trailers are clean.
The show continues Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
