You may miss a flight. You may miss that show you had plans for. But the one event that you can't miss is Valentine's Day.
That's the pressure put on florists throughout the region with all of the snow that has fallen.
At Westcott Florist in Syracuse, they have been through this drill before with 52 years in business.
Their owner, Dino Centra, says it was really bad in 2007, and he had a feeling today would be tough, but his employees were ready.
They knew from early in the day it would just be a little more slow going than usual.
You know, with the snow, it's really slowed everything down quite a bit. So, we have a lot of deliveries going up on campus. So, you know, that's always challenging, because most of the students that are living, are on the side streets. So getting through there is going to be a challenge...and hoping that they're going to be around to receive the deliveries," said Centra.
Wescott held off on taking any more day-of delivery orders to make sure everyone who already made purchases got what they requested, but they still have flowers in stock if people need to stop in, Centra said.
