BROOME COUNTY, N.Y. -- Four days after Broome County was hit by a snowstorm, there was even more snow on Thursday. It made a lot of people sad, and kept them indoors. If they wanted to go somewhere, it wasn't easy.

"I have to get up early," said BU grad student Hannah Verhagen. "I don't like scraping ice off my windshield, and shoveling my car out."

Getting snow off your car is annoying. But there are worse things that come from snow, like trying to do your job when the roads are icy.

"It's scary," said Jimmy John's delivery driver Brion Jackson. "You have to be really careful the entire time. You have to pay extra attention and be extremely careful."

"Less customers come by," said Jake Barney, a worker at Sound Go Round in Vestal. "We end up just sitting here doing nothing for a while."

For some people, the best way to get through is thinking of spring when the sun comes back and things aren't frozen. But the snow isn't all bad. It's given some people more time to relax.

"My class that I have at 4:25 got canceled," said BU student Frederick Martell. "So that's great. So now we can hang out. No, I'm not sick of it."

Frederick might get another day off soon. There's even more snow in the forecast. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
