ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- We're learning more about what could come from the $30 million of state funding allocated to development along Onondaga Lake.
Governor Cuomo announced that money during his budget address earlier this week.
For next week's meeting, the County Ways and Means Committee will discuss spending $500,000 to move forward on a revitalization project along the Western Shore of Onondaga Lake.
A memo of support from the County Executive's Office says the money would be used for investigative and design work on a publicly-owned entertainment facility.
The work would include analysis of transportation and environmental issues, along with right of way considerations in the Village of Solvay and Town of Geddes.
So far, no details have been released about what the entertainment facility might include.
If approved, the $500,000 would be funded through the County's Room Occupancy Tax.
