WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- He's not throwing his hat into the ring just yet but a downstate politician is making his way across New York State as he considers challenging Governor Andrew Cuomo in November.
Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino stopped by our studio this afternoon.
Astorino says he believes New York State is on the wrong track.
He says his experience creating jobs and keeping spending and taxes down in Westchester County could be translated to the state as a whole.
"We can't be punishing people. We can't be chasing business out and preventing new ones from coming in and starting. Whether it's Central New York or all of New York, we have to be different than we are today," said Rob Astorino, Westchester County Executive.
Astorino says he expects to make a final decision on the race by the end of February.
