NATIONWIDE -- Veterans groups say they plan to fight a provision in the new federal budget deal that holds back annual pension increases for military retirees younger than 62.
Congress passed the deal last week, but after protests from military groups, some lawmakers say they'll take another look.
Even so, defense officials say change is almost certain for the military benefits and compensation programs.
A commission was set up last year to reform those programs.
It's scheduled to release recommendations in May.
