SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Delta Air Lines plays Santa for local students.
Employees visited the "YMCA Afterschool Arts Enrichment" Program in Syracuse Wednesday.
The group also brought with them a $25,000 check to help pay for music and art lessons, summer art camps, and more.
Students were also presented with books.
The YMCA says the donation will help kids explore the arts, many of whom wouldn't be able to afford to do so otherwise.
"Something that started on a smallish scale has blossomed and become this amazing endeavor with their help, and I look at that check and I think about the numbers of kids who will now be served and it's thrilling for me," said Linda Pennisi, YMCA's Afterschool Arts Enrichment Program Founder.
The airline has pledged to donate another $25,000 to the program next year.
