BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- A train full of presents and toys rolled into Binghamton Saturday morning, the first stop of many across New York State.
The Toys for Tots Train was carrying more than 12,000 toys, which will be delivered to local families and non-profits at each station.
The toys were purchased with a $30,000 donation from Dunkin Donuts.
They say it's important to give back to the community, especially during the holiday season.
"Many people do not even think twice. They wake up on Christmas morning and there's presents for their children. There's other children out there and this is a way to bring a smile and get a visit from Santa," said Eric Stensland, Dunkin Donuts Field Marketing Manager.
This is the train's 5th year running.
The last stop will be Sunday afternoon near the Canadian border.
