SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Staff at Crouse are celebrating the arrival of the hospital's own royal baby.

The little boy was born about thirty minutes after the British royal family's newest prince, George Alexander Louis.

Miles Rastetter was born at 12:08 p.m. on Monday, weighing seven pounds six ounces. His parents, Shanna and Eric, are originally from Pittsburgh and just moved to Camillus in February.

Wednesday, the new baby was given several gifts by employees at the hospital, including a book and some pajamas.

Miles' birth was a scheduled c-section, but his parents said they were surprised the royal baby arrived just minutes before.

"When I found out I was pregnant, Kate Middleton found out the same time, so of course everyone kept saying, oh the Duchess of Cambridge is pregnant too, and then for them to be born the same day, it's a coincidence," Shanna Rastetter said.

The baby's birthday is also his parents' anniversary.

Miles and mom are scheduled to go home from the hospital on Thursday. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
