AUBURN, N.Y. -- A 15-year-old is in serious condition after being airlifted from the scene of a crash in Auburn.

Police said Anthony Vivenzio was trying to cross Grant Avenue on his bike Tuesday afternoon when he was struck by a vehicle.

The teen wasn't wearing a helmet and suffered severe head injuries. He was flown to Upstate University Hospital where he underwent surgery.

The driver involved has not been ticketed.

Police say the driver had the green light at the time of the crash, but an accident reconstruction team was brought in to take a closer look. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
