EPHRATAH, N.Y. -- The National Transportation Safety Board releases its preliminary report regarding the plane that crashed in Fulton County last month.

The plane was carrying a husband and wife along with the pilot when it went down. All three were killed in the crash.

It was part of an Angel Flight operation, bringing Frank Amerosa, 64 and his wife, Evelyn Amerosa, 58, from Massachusetts to Rome, New York.

According to the preliminary report, the wreckage path measured about one mile in length beginning at the southeast side of the Garoga Reservoir and continuing to the north end.

Portions of the plane were found south of the reservoir while the majority of wreckage came to a rest in the reservoir.

The initial report does not give a cause of the crash. The final report could take up to a year to complete.
