UTICA, N.Y. -- The death of a Utica man has been ruled a homicide.

Allen Minor, 47, was found dead in the Olbiston Apartments on Genesee Street. Police were called to the apartment building around 10:30 a.m. Monday where they found his body. They are waiting for the report from the medical examiner's office before releasing the cause of death.

"The Olbiston's a big apartment building, so there's a lot of people that come and go, so if anybody between last night and today might have seen the victim, maybe they knew the victim or saw something that looked out of the ordinary, please give us a call," said Steve Hauck of the Utica Police Department.
