ONEIDA COUNTY, N.Y. -- Alligator wrestling is something you don't normally see in New York State; but, this year at the Big East Camping and Sport Show at Turning Stone, they have some special guests.
Jimmy Riffle and his crew from Animal Planet's “Gator Boys” are in town. Their show is about two men who save nuisance alligators before trappers kill them for their skin and meat.
This weekend, Riffle and two large alligators showed an audience some of the tricks of the trade.
“We do more of an educational thing, talking more about the alligators and what we do, being part of Gator Boys, running a rescue program. And all the alligators that we travel with, they are part of that rescue," said the Gator Boys: Tre Huntoon, Jimmy Riffle, and Andy Riffle.
Riffle said the tricks he performed aren't things to try at home, especially when he put his entire head in an alligator's mouth.
If you'd like to see the show in person, you can catch it Sunday at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m.
