SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Some SU fans looking for tickets to games were victims of an online scam.

Investigators say Harry Levy, 26, of Syracuse, admitted to putting an ad on Craigslist for the upcoming Georgetown game on February 23rd. Authorities say he sold two sets of four tickets worth $500 each to two victims. One of the victims became suspicious of the tickets and went to the Dome to check. That's when the Dome informed that person the tickets were forged.

"To the eye, you would think these were real tickets. Nowadays you can get hard regular tickets or you can get tickets that you can actually print off the computer. What he's done is taken an old ticket that was printed off of from a computer. He manipulated and we believe he actually made his own barcode," said Syracuse Police Sergeant Tom Connellan.

This was a joint investigation between State and Syracuse Police. They each charged Levy with one count of criminal possession of a forged instrument. He was arraigned Tuesday.

If anyone out there thinks they, too, were scammed, you should call Syracuse Police at (315) 442-5222.
