ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- A judge has found 11 of the 15 drone protesters arrested at Hancock Air Field this past summer guilty of trespassing.
After a four-and-a-half hour trial and just 10 minutes of deliberation, 11 individuals were found guilty trespassing on military grounds.
Those arrested in late June were warned not to protest on the 174th Attack Wing base. The individuals claimed to be delivering a citizen's indictment for war crimes in connection with reaper drones allegedly committed by the base.
Five of the protesters were sentenced to 15 days in jail and six others were given fines and community service.
An order of protection was also granted for the 174th Commander Colonel to keep protesters off the air field.
