JEFFERSON COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Jefferson County family escaped their smoke-filled home. The house on Burton Road in the Town of Hounsfield caught fire around 5:30 a.m.

Four departments worked to fight the fire. The home was so full of smoke, crews had to use a chainsaw to ventilate the smoke out of the roof.

No one was injured in the fire. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
