MORAVIA, N.Y. -- The man who headed Cayuga County's legislature for more than two decades has died after a long illness. Arbon Hatfield was a dairy farmer who began his political career as a town official in Moravia, eventually becoming Town Supervisor. When the Board of Supervisors became a county legislature, Hatfield joined the new board and became its chairman -- a job he held for 22 years.

Funeral services are set for Thursday. Arbon Hatfield was 84 years old. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
