The investigation into allegations of sexual abuse by Syracuse University basketball coach Bernie Fine leads to a search of his home today by a number of police agencies. Officers spent hours at Fine's house in DeWitt. Our Katie Gibas joins us from the newsroom tonight with more on the investigation.

DEWITT, N.Y. -- Police spent more than eight hours searching the home of Syracuse University associate basketball coach Bernie Fine Friday.

Members of the state police and Syracuse police conducted the search at Fine's house on Tiffany Circle in DeWitt after the U-S Attorney's Office obtained a search warrant Friday afternoon.

Officers searched both inside and outside the home, as well as the surrounding woods.

Friday evening, police seized three filing cabinets, as well as several boxes.

Police are not saying what was in those filing cabinets or what lead up to obtaining the search warrant.

This investigation comes just over a week after allegations of sex abuse first surfaced against Fine.

Two men claim Fine abused them back in the '80s when they were teenagers and working as ball boys for the basketball team. Fine, who has served as an associate coach for 35 years, vehemently denies the allegations.

The University placed him on administrative leave last week, pending the outcome of a police investigation.
