ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- More evidence of the EEE and West Nile viruses have been found in Onondaga County.

Health officials say EEE was found in pools collected in the town of Cicero last week, while West Nile Virus was confirmed in both Cicero and Geddes.

The pools were all collected before the recent aerial spraying of the Cicero Swamp.

So far this year, officials say there has been one probable and one suspected human case of West Nile reported in Onondaga County. They remind residents to keep taking precautions against mosquito bites and to keep yards free of standing water to keep the population down.
