STEUBEN COUNTY, N.Y. -- Another marijuana bust in Steuben County leads to the discovery of 39 marijuana plants from a cornfield in the Town of Wheeler.
The seizure comes on the tail end of what the Steuben County Sheriff's Office says is the prime marijuana growing season.
During the summer and fall of this year the sheriff's office investigated 42 individual cases of growing marijuana within the county. More than a thousand plants were seized in all, worth about $25,000 and 11 people were arrested.
Anyone with information related to unlawful growing of marijuana can still contact the investigator Eric Tyner at the sheriff's office at (607) 776-7009.
